(All my ex- girl friends can read this blog. However, if you are my present girl friend, please don’t read it-it is not about you- so why waste your time just to get angry?)
It was on my trip to Mangalore that I saw her. Actually held spellbound will be more appropriate. Any attempts to describe her can never do her justice. The elation of getting to know her can only be understood by the agony of missing her.
Most descriptions of beauty start with the eyes. Now I know why. Her eyes were captivating, keeping me riveted (which is actually the same thing- I mean because they were captivating me, I was rooted or riveted to the spot. I hope my readers will excuse a little bit of pompo-verbosity i.e. using 5 words where 2 will suffice. But that’s the only way I can describe her).
I, being a master observer, was so lulled by the hypnotism of those eyes that I forgot they were blue or green or brown. But they were extraordinary (> 3 standard deviations right of the mean: to be scientifically correct). In ophthalmology, we are taught to describe eyes. Only thing I remember now is that the eyes are the mirror (actually an extension) of the brain (not the heart as popularized by movies- after all the eyes would have to travel quite a bit from the heart to the eyeballs!). To make a really long story short (the fickle readers I bribe to read my blog are daunted if my article exceeds their screen- and I cannot buy them 50 inch screens), she was intelligent. Believe me, that is a rare quality in females, especially good looking ones (actually I don’t expect female readers-so I am safe).
She had mischief. She had tenderness. She had everything in the world she could wish for and more. She also had a few useless things-like at that moment she had my heart. She was not perfect –which made it just perfect for me! I mean you cannot fall in love with an angel and not have an inferiority complex!!!
Now I miss her. I pine for, long for and yearn for her. Why did I let her go so easily? I know at times I am too dumbfounded to act but…
Actually if I think deeply, I could not have possibly brought her along with me (how can I?). But as I remember her, my heart is rent apart. If only…
She would have made a perfect mate for my dog (he is a German Spitz and has high standards, maybe except for flirting with street dogs). Using parliamentary language (as you will find throughout my blog), I will not call her a b**** but that is what she is scientifically (Not German Spitz but she was a Spitz all right). But the cutest, superbly intelligent and an unparalleled heart-winning one!

hilarious!! hope you met some agreeable specimens of your own species too.. heh heh
